Ludwig Steiner, born on 14.04. 1922 in Innsbruck, comes from a Catholic family. The resistance against National Socialism for him is one thing that is obvious. Like his father he quickly comes into conflict with the regime. After being wounded at the Arctic front, he uses the opportunity brave to take active steps to restore democratic rule. He is secretary of Chancellor Raab, State Secretary in the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador, President of the Political Academy of ÖVP and finally chairman of the Austrian Reconciliation Fund to compensate former Nazi slave laborers.
